- Check that the folder is in SCleaner’s allowed folders (Settings › Tools on Mac).
- Mac: macOS asks once per folder (Desktop, Documents, Downloads). If you clicked “Don’t Allow”, open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Files and Folders and turn on access for SCleaner.
- Mac: measuring iPhone/iPad backups needs Full Disk Access (System Settings › Privacy & Security › Full Disk Access).
- After installing a new version, macOS may ask for permissions again.
