Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what data the SCleaner app and the SCleaner website process. In short: the app works on your device, does not include analytics or tracking, and does not upload your files.
Who is responsible
SCleaner. You can reach us through the contact page.
The SCleaner app
Files
SCleaner scans only the folders you allow. Scanning, organizing and cleanup happen on your device. File names, contents and scan results are not sent to us or anyone else.
If you use Clean Up Mail, the app connects directly from your device to the mail server you choose, over an encrypted connection. It reads message headers, and the content of a message only when you preview it. Your password is stored only on your device: in the macOS Keychain on Mac, and encrypted with Windows DPAPI on Windows. Nothing from your mailbox is sent to us.
Health and insights (Mac)
Disk health readings and the Performance Insights history are stored only on your Mac.
Network features (Mac)
Network Diagnostics contacts your router, your DNS servers and Apple’s connection-check page (captive.apple.com). The optional speed test transfers test data with speed.cloudflare.com, which receives your IP address as part of any internet connection.
Analytics
The app does not contain analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.
This website
The website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved only in your browser. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and operation.
Contact form
If you send a message, we receive your name, e-mail address, subject and message, and use them only to reply to you. The form is delivered by a form-processing service acting on our behalf. We keep messages only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us through the contact page to make a request.
Changes
We will update this page if the app or website starts processing data differently, and change the date above.
