Installing SCleaner on Mac

Install from the .dmg and get past the “cannot verify developer” message.

SCleaner for Mac requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag SCleaner into Applications.
  3. Open SCleaner from Applications.

“macOS cannot verify the developer”

Version 0.1.0 is not yet notarized by Apple. To open it the first time:

  1. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security.
  2. Scroll down to the message about SCleaner and click Open Anyway.
  3. Confirm. You will not be asked again for this version.
