The cleaner looks only for items on a fixed list: temporary files, unfinished downloads, Office lock files, leftover logs and rebuildable developer caches. On Mac, Organizer › Junk & caches also covers browser and app caches; on Windows, browser page caches are offered when your whole user folder is allowed.
- Open Free Up Space and start the scan.
- Each item shows what it is, when it last changed and its size.
- Items marked check first are not pre-selected. Look at them before including them.
- Review the summary and confirm. Items are moved to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
Space is only fully freed when you empty the Trash or Recycle Bin yourself.
